If that 500 isn't a problem for you, that sounds like a great buy. When purchasing a classic car, having it run is the least of any worries. Just make sure that your car is complete. From the exterior and interior, those item are the most costly when restoring to original condition.
I've been very into this process for half a year now and from that I advise, 500 is a great price for anything.
