I've devised a handy "How Shit Is My Job?" litmus test, just for you.
ask yourself the following questions:
when asked to choose between going for a social drink with colleagues and eating your own flesh, would you choose the latter?
does the idea of designers who genuinely enjoy their job fill you with cynical laughter and the desire to stab people with a sharpened pencil?
when presenting work to seniors or clients, do you pick fights with them over the exact pantone reference of "powder blue"? or do you agree with them about everything and in fact point out everything that's shit about your work before they can even comment?
if the answers to all the above are "yes", and you have enough money in the piggy bank to be out of work for a month, then leave and get yourself another job. Otherwise save your pennies until you have said cash.
