    I have to say that the effects of climate change (mainly anthropogenic or not) is going to effect the worlds poor more than the worlds rich. I am particularly interested in the classification of environmental reugees and the impacts on regional political stability. The New Economics Foundation estimated that by 2050 150 million people could be displaced by 'ecological push-factors'

    what I like about Kyoto is that it sets a focus on the issue at hand and has much to do with issues of energy security as it does to the climate. The future energy shocks to the industrial system/global economy will be great and setting the foundations to cushion against those shocks takes 20 year visionary planning. The priority for countries such as those in the EU is to improve issues of energy security and future demand through complex webs of interdependant legislative tools as opposed to geo-political strongarming
