just in case you are still reading, I live in Rock Hill SC, about 15 min south of Charlotte. Basically just an overflow city for Charlottes workers, we have a design school here at Winthrop University, (me still student), Charlotte is really nice, clean, fun, growing, everything you need, as for the culture....you get all the goods, a southern city, with the modern twist.
Is a banking town though, so, money is bouncing around the town, and people dont know what to do with it. People make San Fransisco wages, and have NC prices.
