well, normally i would agree, although the analogy doesn't really compare...apples and oranges...
there are garages that will fix your car when it breaks down...taking a computer to a shop for a simple fsck is not only a waste of time and money...but most will just tell you have to do it yourself.
it doesn't take but 5 minutes to rtfm for a computer.

but, in this case, my father was a manager at a garage for 20 years...so, yes actually i do know the workings of my truck.and, when i bought my street bike a few years back, i took a class from the local dealer on basic maintenance and up-keep incase i broke down in the middle of know where.
