I heard you really have to crank the PSP to open the disc bay. That's what I've seen anyway.
And I'm not sure about that square button thing, I hadn't seen any official recalls and the images claiming to show the defect weren't even sized-up properly.
Oh, and don't even talk about the DS being a TV or phone. PSP is miles ahead in terms of convergence.
