Hey Blackspade
Im a music producer (mainly drum n bass) but I have done some comercial work too.
I was doing music way back in the day of D.O.S. Trackers, in 93-94 when I swithed to macs a few years ago I tried Digital performer wich is what I most of my friends on mac where using at the moment, I had it for a few months, and to me seemed very unintuitive, most people I knw had been using it for a long time, but I was new to it and I gave up.
I took some Logic classes at NAB 2 years ago, and the UI was deffenetly way nicer than DP4, Make sure Logic uses standard VST's (hardware is cool by vst are getting better everyday, and more and more music producers are replacing them instead of hardware)I did liked Logic a lot, but they bought cubase at my work so I started using it, and I like it a lot.
Is also cross platform so that means more users and more developement towards it.
I will deffenetly love to own logic sometime, and exepriment with my set up, but untill then, cubase it is.You might found this very usefull if you want to decide
They dont have classes for DP4 yet, but you can compare between logic and cubase.
