Well, thusfar an Apple spokesman says it's an isolated case. And it is not known what type of Powerbook it is, except that is of an older generation.
The powerbook user was hearing a sssh-like sound coming from inside and then a gascloud appeared from his keyboard, when he tried to remove the battery the thing 'exploded', a flame coming from the it..
The Apple spokesman there is no cause for alarm...yet.
But they plan to investigate it thoroughly.
the victim got a brand new powerbook from Apple.

It happened in Barneveld, known here in the Netherlands as the chicken capital.. so i blame the chickens..
