I remember hearing about the three part Outside project. Maybe he didn't do it because the it was over the critics' heads at the time. I think Outside is his best work, even better than Ziggy. You have to consider him to be the best act of the 70s.
Another classic is Diamond Dogs. So goth it hurts and that was only 1974. Amazing.
