Yer cat is just pissed that you buy better furniture fer yerself than you do fer yer cat... i bought a huge kitty condo and they almost instantly stopped shredding my sofas.
get something like this
also, keep water guns around the house... i have like 5 ready to go.
and buy a spray called "Boundary"? or Green Apple...
