  I've noticed this problem for the last few weeks...but i thought it was because I was playing music from it at the time. So I left it the last few days without playing any music from it while it was plugged in and the bar is staying at the same place.

  It's plugged into the front USB on a G5..guess I need the firewire to charge. Kind of stupid IMO.
