IE is still the most used browser still, even 6.0 won't align vertically using table's vertical align property, CSS doesn't have a vertical align property like most think, older methods of laying out are more efficient than CSS on simplicity.
The only reason CSS was created was because some stupid jerk wanted the style separated, from the markup, which to me is wonderful, but don't make it so fucking dificult moron! Who would think about mark up and styles when after 3 or 4 years you can't align vertically at all, then they come to you telling you it's straight forward standards, some other 'bitch' standards that's for sure.
I do code CSS, thank you very much, but when I have to be devising 'hacks' for the main browser so my layout work, then it's a problem, even when IE is not at fully in compliance like Firefox.
Firefox+CSS still suck!
