If you buy something like a video camera they recommended as it is so necessary for them to clean the dust out of it every so many months. It's a good scam to get an extra $50 or so off of everything you sell.
I have to take an expensive Sony DVD player in that I have a plan for. I treated it perfectly and it stopped reading discs in less than two years. I thought I would get a free one until I read more into it. So I'll see how their repair goes and what a pain in the ass it is.
It's good to hear from someone who has first hand experience.
