The burbs are completely fine...don't listen to the hype. I live in the burbs and grew up in the burbs here. Atlanta is made up of lots of smalll communities that have their own atmosphere. Each one different from the next.
Most people living in ATL are transplants anyways, mostly from the north or from out west. As soon as you meet people here, they end up leaving, at some point in their life. It's weird like that.
