It's pretty basic once you get started. DVD Studio Pro is like Quark for video. It's putting pieces together that you make in other apps. The bigger issues are with graphics for television in general. If you've designed for tv in the past you'll be ok.
Just have realistic goals. For me, coming from a web background, DVD interactivity seems pretty basic. Watch a lot of DVD intros to get a realistic idea of what's possible.
Just read a little of the manual and you'll be up and runing.
