    it's my understanding that the fcc is the only organization not held accountable for violations of free speech. It's in the law books somewhere.

    The stations aren't exactly censored, it's more of a technicality. They can broadcast the "bad words" etc, but they will be fined by the organization which governs the broadcast.

    This goes the same for radio.

    For this reason, the companies who run the stations don't allow the people who run the shows to include these "bad things" so they will not incurr fines and whatever other actions the fcc feels necessary to police their airwaves.

    According to law you are free to say what you please.

    As far as the tshirt incident, as unfortunate as it is, it's a similar technicality. The owners of the estamblishment felt the patron was not adhering to their 'rules' and he received a trespassing charge.

    Regardless, I still love it here.
