in those scenerios, i like to tell them that in exchange for doing the work at that rate, you get to put your logo/link on the site. That way it's worth your while...and if they eventually want it off, it's an additional $X, where X equals the amount you believe you deserve - $325. :)
Inquire further about other needs (print, identity, production work, etc.) and do the same. :)
