    haha. i definitely see what you're saying. they are very different. and so are the times.

    i guess why so many people are comparing him to dylan (at least in my eyes) is because of his ability to write such amazingly honest and beautiful music with such an emphasis on the lyrics. (plus, the unrefined voices help the comparision greatly as well).

    you are right. they are very different artists. each doing their own thing. but its the connection with listeners that is where the similarities lie.

    maybe i'm just biased. i mean, i've listened to both artists a great deal, and feel a connection with both. but dylan's words are often a product of the times, not making it easy to relate. im sure future generations will say the same about oberst though.

    and i love engelbert! and i think josh groban is the new e.h., just in my opinion. hehe.
