comcast sux in the bay area too. luckily i had a choice and switched to RCN for everything: cable, internet and telephone and it's cheaper.
comcast in the bay area has uneven service even in regards to the channels it offers. check it out: http://tinyurl.com/5ugmg
and when talking to comcast customer service it's clear they focus on getting new customers and once you on a subscriber you are on the back burner
