I have been using Comcast Cable internet since it started () and let me say the it was a bumpy ride at the beginning, being a mac user didn't help (they knew absolutely nothing about Macs and couldn't understand how I can get online without installing software)- but now a days the service is mostly on the money- alot of money. I pay over $120.00 a month for cable and internet. Sure- I dont need HBO and all that but I have it.
The Monopoly reference was regarding the Cable service more than the internet service. If Philadelphia you can only view 3 snowy channels without cable- and only in certain areas (mostly the suburbs) do you have a choice of providers-
Again it's Comcast or fuck you.
In my expierence sonce they know you have no choice they take advantage of it. Not until the growth of the Dish have they shown any respect for people like me who give them close to $1500.00 a year. Do a Google search for "Comcast Sucks" and 128,000 others will tell you the same.
I use the connection only- I have only been to their website three times ever. Personally I think it is bloated with pointless bandwidth hogging features and is less organized than AOL. I do not use their email service, web space, or corney things like video email and all that so I have no comment on any of it.
