Me and a couple of friends once talked to a girl who had just came back after spending a few months in Botswana. She used to be a volunteer for some humanitarian institution there. The most shocking thing she said was the age of sexual initiation of females in this part of Africa. It is often about one year. Yes, we asked her and she repeated: One year of age. Little girls are being raped because there's a common belief that an intercourse with a virgin cures AIDS.
