actually dobby, he's wicked popular here..
when he came up to toronto for those shows, it was like, front page news every day..the stunt with triumph in quebec wasn't such a big deal either, except that some local politicians decided to make a big deal of it..
most of those interviewed in quebec either didn't care, or thought it was funny too...personally for my money, i like letterman more, but thats just for nostalgia's sake...and the fact that he's kinda like, the ANTI-host...
but pound for pound, conan is definitely the funniest..
if you ever get a chance, read his Rolling Stone interview from a few years back..
while at harvard, him and some friends invited Burt Ward (Robin) to come speak at the college..
then while he was on stage, they burst into the auditorium in costume (the penguin i think) and announced that they'd stolen his Robin costume...
..earlier they'd come up to him dressed as campus security and asked if he wanted to have them hang on to the robin costume for 'security's sake'...now..i ask you..
how fuckin brilliant is that?guy is a comedy genius...
