    i bought a sony vaio s150 a while back. works like a dream.

    pentium m 1.6ghz
    1gb of ram (i upgraded it)
    100gb hdd (again, i upgraded)
    32mb ati radeon 9200

    gentoo linux 2004.3

    nice machine.

    i looked at alienware and apple powerbooks as well.

    if money isn't an object...alienware or powerbook.

    i'm buying a powerbook next year when the new models are released.

    mmm. gentoo will run smooth on that.
