If you want a list of lame bands, take a look at my girlfriends CD collection: so many cds, so many shite bands.
I agree with all of the above. A good rule to mark lame bands is they are all prefixed with 'the':
The strokes
The white stripes
The vines
The darkness
The kings of Leon
The .....
