Um. Have you tried opening one of the files in a text editor just to see what it says?
They are not Windows files that I know, if that is what you're worried about. I doubt you will hose your system over deleting them...but they might be connected with a piece of software you use?
Dunno, exactly without seeing the file.
Could be temp files from a Windows update or something...What OS do you have?
