    no...thats whats so crappy about BT and most UK ISP's using USB modems for ADSL...they use PPP which is meant for dial up connections.

    'Always on' connections like ADSL should really use ethernet.

    For £140 you can go get a combo ADSL modem/ethernet router/wireless basestation, and throw the USB modem... then you'll have a much more robust connection, always on, and Airport (is it a desktop or laptop?)...
