  Yes the size is correct
  720 X 540 is NTSC D1 square pixel aspect ratio

  PAL D1 Square pixel is 768x 576

  NTSC D1 rectangular is 720 486

  PAL rectangular D1 is 720x576

  you are right thought, the editor can legalize the video and make the proper adjustmens
