It's really true... defrag is a waste of time... journaling and unix elminate the need-

always ALWAYS repair your permissions before and after an update. Run all your maintance tests- a good app for that is -System Optimizier X
http://www.mkd.cc/sox/After running the app you might lose some custom icons when the cache is reset but it's no big deal.
