    okay, here's the thing. there is a set of albums that i love so much, it's hard for me to go public with it. i used to get so heckled when i tried to play them in my dept.

    for anyone in-the-know, they are certainly legendary, but for the uninitiated, they can sound kind of "smooth-jazz".

    they are live, and they are often credited with completely changing the way rhythm sections work.. blah, blah blah.

    here you go... ready:

    bill evans trio, "live at the villiage vangaurd" and "waltz for debby".

    scott lafaro died in a car wreck two-weeks later.
