look at the games available for each and work out which you prefer. i use both (borrow the ps2, own the xbox) and it just depends on what you want to play.
if lower graphics, huge load times and the ability to save nothing to a non-existant 8gb hard drive but pay a lot of cash for a shite 8mb card is your thing then go th PS2. it's all over that list like a fat kid on a smarty.
