Hey thompson,
I know what you mean about the cultural lifestyle change. I am worried about that too. One appealing thing for me is that I will have friends in Madrid, which would make living there much easier, as opposed to being alone in a new place.
But I figure if I ever want to do this, now is the time, since I am still single and unattached here in San Francisco. Plus, if it doesn't workout, I can always return here.
