or save another 2000 and buy a killer PC later in the year as well...
i'd suggest working a little on both machines to see which you liked better.
i now work on a PC regularly but it took me a longtime of waffling to determine that...and i still miss the mac for certain things...
now it's more like buying a car...if you buy the minivan, you're gonna miss things that you didn't get the half ton sometimes...and viceversa...
pros and cons...as always.
but most of the big things that desginers need: stability, accessability, and power...are there on both systems now.
