okay so i realized that it doesn't matter how long I extend the tweens for, it doesn't even change the file size if I make the movie clip longer, all that matters is the image compression. So, lesson learned for today.
Next problem: while making the flash movie, it looked fine and good in the preview, but once I published it, it started to render pretty strangely. as you can see in this link, the movie clip got slightly distorted, and it kind of looks (for lack of a better term) "blocky", and it did not look like that while I was creating it...

does anybody know why all of a sudden it started to produce this effect, and how to fix it??
