firstly: $20 doesn't SEEM unreasonable, especially to those of us not working in NY.
however: a living wage is usually defined as the cost of renting a 2 bedroom apartment plus food and utilites. It's calculated that way so that a single working mom can afford to survive.
I realize that this is probably not a fealistic calculation for you to make, but for god's sake don't assume someone is "sharing an apartment".
I belive looking for an employee from a a specific demographic is probably discrimination.
-We're looking for a smart, talented, skinny, young, buhddist without much need for worldly possesions to join our team!
how about 25-30/hr?
