    yeah, i went to the academy in sf. i started as a 3d person, and switched to web. their facilities are very good. they have lots of computers, and the labs are good.

    the faculty for the most part blows. they have favorites and if you don't kiss ass you don't get hyped. also, they aren't current with design. i had to show everyone the link to this site so they could see some decently designed sites.

    another problem is, they don't check portoflios to enter, only checkbooks, so you usually have a few kids who are serious and the rest of them suck.

    i'm not trying to brag but including me there was usually 3 or 4 kids out of 40 who knew what was up. it's a lot harder to strive for excellent work when you can top the class with half-assed effort.

    but the way i see it is, i don't give a fuck where you went to school. you get what you put in. i came out of the academy and already had an internship and now i have a job after being done in august.

    but yeah, if you can. avoid the aac.
