CybrainX..
The main portion of the site is html based. The home page is the only page that has heavy flash. We are allowing users to view all products on the main page through flash. Which is why I am loading dynamic jpeg files. The swf trick will work just as well.
The company manufactures computer monitors. I will post a link when we are finished. I can't mention who it is for NDA purposes.
The company is pretty "tech savy" but doesn't want to ignore anyone.
The project is awsome and is allowing me to expand my flash knowledge. I am doing this solo style. No team to work with. Just me and the VP of marketing. So I have about 98% creative control.
Just to note, I have never had an issue with the size of the SWF files. I usually do not go over 200k. But I like to use external flash movies. It only makes sense. Putting everything inside of 1 SWF files is like making 1 HUGE GIF file. Keep basic webdev practice in mind when you develop for flash. Just like you load various jpeg, gif, png files on 1 page. You should do the same with flash. That will avoid a lot of the issues with load time and files size.
WORD UP!. Progression is key, but you do have to keep human nature in mind. If something is to difficult, chances are, the audience will not respond.
The only major difference I see in Ver.6 and Ver.5 is video. I don't use components to much so I wouldn't have that issue to deal with. Both are great. MX is better to dev. with. But player 5 is just as good and has a larger audience.
Come on brothas n sistas, we all want to move forward but we can't be ignorant about it. It's simple logic.
FRESH!
