01. Have a good calibrated monitor (pref. Barco or less expensive LA CIE ELECTRON III)
02. Work in CMYK, pref. colorprofile Euroscale / Pre-press adapted to Monitor calibration.
03. Use in all software the same color profile.
04. Use a CMYK printer, for instance HP Laser jet 5500 N. Or Epson/Xerox and Tektronix have good ones too.
05. Use the same paper where it will be reproduced on.
06. always remember that it can never match 100%. It can get close. The perfectmatch is a direct Offset Print Proof from the Printer itself.
TIP : Ask your local printer for a FULL COLOUR TEST or BOOK. you can use this for calibrating scanner, monitor etc. They are often digitally monitored with digital calibration units. Printer uses these often for cliƫnts or internally.
