create ringtones from mp3/wav?

Ringtones usually are in MIDI format... there's no simple way to convert wav or MP3 as far as i know. There are plug-ins to create your own for Cubase though...

Depending on what hardware you are supporting, you can either convert from raw cd format into .mid or .mp3 to .mid (not advised due to big lose of quality) or preferrably from .wav to .mid. However, again depends on what you are supporting, as some phones want specific formats. There are plenty of applications that do it for the PC, not sure about Mac, but I would look into the exporting options for Logic, Cubase (as mentioned), Pro Tools and other standalones. For PC you can do it quite easily with many applications.
