I've always followed the motto of "a good camera is the one that gets used"
So my next one is going to be the T3, I also had a look at the expo (pre-production model) last Wed night here in Sydney, everything I need, small size (very portable), 5M+ pix (who wants to buy expensive large medias just to keep a few pix? and the chance you'll use them at full res is rare - like you said you pay the pros to do a pro job with pro-cameras), quick start-up, large 2.5" LCD, lens cover, etc.
I can't think of 95% of times that I wish I had a larger/manual camera with lens situation - even when traveling - want something bigger? walk closer.
After all, we do know our beloved PShop, right? ;o)
