    watch it again, look for clues, light, sound, etc.

    His characters are usually as memorable as their lines.

    "You wouldn't believe what that kangaroo did to this courtyard"

    Is it me, or does he employ some deliberate and stereotypically bad acting to create tension in this movie?

    I'm thinking about the taxi scene with Betty and the old people. It's clear she can act and that he can direct her. Something very unsettling about it as a technique.

    About the only movie of his I'm not really into is Dune, some will disagree, but most Lynch fans know why.
