jevad, i think tupac was charismatic--to a degree-- and was talented, but i agree with you...when you strip away all the glitz and glamour, you basically have this guy talking about the same old gangsta themes: get high, fuck b**ches, roll with guns
the ultimate irony is that this is a man who glamorized the gangsta lifetsyle but whose roots were far different: he went to art high growing up
defenders always point to the song he wrote about his mom being a crackhead as sign of his maturity and sensitivity--which cracks me up. you mean if i write a story about my mom, everything else that i have done problematically in my life and in my work would be ignored, and i'd be immunue from criticism?
with that said, i just think tony danza wanting to bond with him is hilarious--like puff daddy and bruce willis partying together...
