I am happy about Calatrava's rise to stardum. I've been a big fan for many years and think he's one of the best out there today.

I will say that Libeskind's museum here in Denver is looking pretty sharp (literally). I like it a lot and am enjoying watching the construction process.

His entry was mediocre at best, but if you saw the others (they had an exhibit for a while there), you'd see they had crap to choose from. Real crap. Some of the worst designs I've seen for contemporary high rises. The biggest joke was the Meier/Eisenamn/whoever entry. I still think it was a joke on the whole thing.

It was a mess from day one and it just got worse. His was the best design, though, out of those that contributed.
