    That AIGA salary guide is a bunch of crap so we can all justify unrealistic salary requests. My boss would laugh if I showed him that!

    In the southeast U.S. where I live, around 30k per year is average, plus benefits. It is less if you have to take crap work from a printer. Better if you're in-house. But 30K to do print and maybe maintain a web site or run of the mill graphic designer for ad agency. It goes up from there, especially with Flash or databasse or programming skills.
