  technically that space is for speakers, the grills are just on the bottom.

  As with most things, wait till you see one face to face. at first i didn't like the design of the new screens, it resembled a PC type look, non-Apple, but once i saw one....well i must have one.

  once the iMac is out, try to get to an Apple Store or something and try it out, i guarantee your opinion will change.
