I just moved down here about a month ago from Philadelphia. Thusfar, the city seems alright..there's a lot of areas people generally advised me to go "nowhere near", way more than in Philly...
but the areas that are safe (Federal Hill, Fells Point, Canton, Mt Vernon and the Inner Harbor where I work) are awesome.
Face it- there is no perfectly safe city out there anyway.
