i used to live in baltimore. its a really seedy, gritty, southern feeling city on the east coast. its got a kick ass art school there and the alums that stick around give the city an artsy coolness. great art scene. but, yeah its a total ghetto. if you can't handle living in an all black city, i mean where the poor have been oppressed, have no opportunity, and only know the street life, then think twice. i got used to it i guess. i loved baltimore. its got a great rocker/punk music scene. if you like to see bands it rocks. plus its less than an hour drive to dc, you can go and come back in one evening, its close to philly, only a day trip to new york, 3.5 hour drive to the beach, and couple hours from the mountains/camping/harper springs wv. i have heard the rents are starting to climb but where aren't they.
