this story sounds to me like "Bonsai Kitten" and "iPod Murder" and "G5 powerbook will be released september the first", haha!
case: if i send a high-res picture for use in a book to a printer, it is 300dpi.
if i give him a 600dpi image you can't see any difference, the result isn't any better.so if i send my poster to that 5 million dpi printshop, it is totally bullshit because you cant print out a photo better than it mathematically CAN be printed out.
it is a bit like in this HP advertisement: 5.7million dpi is customer misleading.
i'm sure they counted the dots on a SQUARE inch.

i'm sure his printer has a 2200dpi resolution, and yes, that is about 5 million dots per square inch.any professionals out there who can confirm this?
