You should encourage her getting to know about what you do, and maybe pick up a few of her medical books while you're at it.
But neither one of you should be critical of the other (you say she doesn't 'get' html, she says you don't do it the 'right way'). Unless you secretly want to have something over on her with the programming?
Incidentally there are a relatively lot of female programmers (over 1/3) in my field (GIS), likely because programming, although intense, is learned as an aside to many other subjects. I think they come out better than they think they will (none of them thought programming was their 'thing', going into it)
