I'm selling my 3G to a friend and getting the 4G next week because I commute more than driving.
3G is perfect for car because the touch-sensitive buttons and no need to hold the back of the iPod to press anyhting.
4G would be better for portable audio as it's better at 1 handed operation while holding it.
I'm updating also because I've already go my money back many folds through everyday (10-12 Hours) usage in 9 months and I'd like a better battery (for those party times), and I got a good price for the 3G which allows me to spend almost nothing to get a 4G (due to price drop), so it's a no brainer for me.
