    I agree with you kpl in terms of Shadows growth in composition and technique, it just was not my thing, like I said previously, I feel his older stuff much more, for reasons of playability.

    You're right he's not a Shadow clone, but if you literally took all their releases and put them side to side (including singles, remixes, etc) the path RJ has taken is very similar, I'm not even talking about specifics,(production style) more just in general. OK maybe this will help make sense of what I'm trying to say, Deadringer was more "epic" as was Entroducing, Since We last Spoke is more polished and takes a few listens to appreciate what he's doing, same as Private Press. All I was saying from the get go, was that it was interesting, not that RJ was biting Shadow. Hell, when I saw Shadow 2 years ago, RJ opened for him.
